Dr. Ekert studied Economics, focussing on industrial economics and international economic relations, as well as philosophy and business ethics at the Universities of Frankfurt/Main and Bamberg, where he obtained his Diploma. He received his Doctorate (Dr. Phil.) at the University of Hannover. In particular, his research explores issues relating to job training, society and political economy.

Mr Fischer studied Special Needs Education focussing on Inclusion Studies at Hochschule Görlitz (University of Applied Sciences). After obtaining his Bachelor degree he continued his Master studies in Educational Sciences at the University of Magdeburg, specialising in the fields of Integrative and Inclusive Education. His current interests lie in the area of stepwise implementation of inclusive living conditions of marginalised persons in the sphere of vocational training, employment and housing.

Ms Jahn got her master´s degree in sociology and anthropogeography in 2012 at the University of Potsdam. In the course of her studies she focused on social-spatial disparities, social functions of public spaces and social inequality. She continued her studies at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin and is currently finishing her PhD at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main. Her present research interests are concerned to trends in the European Labor Market.

She received her M.A. in Gender Studies with a focus on migration and integration policy in 2014. Her research interests include integration and gender equality policy, in particular in the labour market.

Dr. Kroos studied in Münster, Edinburgh, Bremen and Toulouse and obtained her Diploma in Sociology as well as an MA in European Labour Studies. Subsequently she deepened her scientific education in the fields of Social Policy and Labour Market Research at the University of Bremen and obtained her doctorate in 2008. Her actual research interests lie in the fields of tertiary education, service sector occupation and in family policies.

She continued with a PhD in Social and Economic Science and obtained her Doctorate in 2005. Her current research concerns the policy areas of education, integration and participation, family and social affairs.

Ms Otto studied Sociology at the Technical University, Chemnitz, focussing on urban and regional sociology and planning, as well as industrial and technological sociology. In 2009 she obtained a Diploma in Sociology and in 2013 qualified as a Certified Pedagogical Instructor under AEVO (a regulation that requires certification of instructors). Her research interests lie in the areas of outcome and competence orientated vocational training and assessment, career advice as well as the encouragement of voluntary work.

Dr. Schüren studied political science and economy at the Free University Berlin and the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina). She graduated with a diploma in political science in 2010. From 2010 until 2014 she did her doctoral studies in the field of pharmaceutical innovation systems. Her research interests cover economic and innovation policies as well as the industrialization of emerging economies.
